The Firehall Arts Centre is pleased to produce and present Social Studies from Saturday, November 21 to Saturday, December 5.

This heart-warming comedy written by actor and comedian Trish Cooper (The Year of the Panda, The Comment Card) about a South Sudanese “Lost Boy” who is adopted by the well-intentioned Wilson family of Winnipeg yields hilarious results when it takes on Canadian values and cultural differences.

Directed by Donna Spencer, Artistic Producer at the Firehall Arts Centre, and featuring Lili Beaudoin (Sister Judy, The Tempest), Winnipeg’s Richie Diggs, award-winning actress Susinn McFarlen (Miss Shakespeare, Dirty Old Woman) and Erin Moon (Miss Shakespeare, J. Caesar), Social Studies highlights family connections and examines issues of loss, expectations, and the desire to do good in the world.
