Douw Steyn, PhD and Professor Emeritus of Atmospheric Science at UBC will summarize various studies and observations that point towards global atmospheric warming and the associated changes in climates of the Earth. He will examine the history of climate science, and will explain the nature and use of atmospheric numerical models, and how they are used to understand the causes of global warming. He will argue that on the balance of probabilities, the observed global warming, and associated climate changes are due to anthropogenic emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gases. Hosted by nonprofit ARPICO, the Society of Italian Researchers and Professionals in Western Canada. Join us for a presentation and lively discussion. Complimentary refreshments follow. RSVP at info@arpico.ca by Nov 29 to ensure a spot! Doors open at 7:20pm. See you there.
