The Dance Centre's Global Dance Connections series presents ReVoLt by Belgian choreographer Thierry Smits, who has been in the forefront of European dance for 25 years, choreographing innovative and often controversial works. ReVoLt is a stripped-down, obsessive solo which echoes the ongoing citizen protest movements, especially those led by women, and considers the oppression of the body, the urge to resist, and the necessity of revolt.
