Opening Reception: Thurs, March 10, 7-9 PM

In her latest exhibit, artist Amelia Alcock-White uses water and wave images to explore how a single event can propagate multiple future effects which are global. Her images portray the interaction of humans and nature which often results in events with repercussions far beyond their immediate locale.

Daily news of climate change, ocean acidification, clean air and water challenges bring us to increasingly recognize the fragile nature of our lives and the planet we inhabit and how interdependent we are on each other for continued survival. A hopeful note is sounded as “The Ripple Effect” reminds us that change for the good starts from within and radiates outward.
