Have you ever wondered what became of Richard Brodeur, the wildly popular NHL goalie that took the Vancouver Canucks to the Stanley Cup final? King Richard is now an established and talented artist that is currently touring as half of the artistic duo known as "The King and I". This is a rare art exhibit and wine tasting event featuring the art work of "King" Richard Brodeur and up and coming fine artist, Pattiann Withapea. Backyard Vineyards is hosting this event in support of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. Guests will enjoy local wines, light hors d'ouvres, live music and an exhibition of the latest paintings by the artists. Both Richard and Pattiann will be appearing on opening night to personally sign their sold works, provide consultations for commissioned pieces, and mingle with guests while enjoying a glass of wine. All artwork will be on display at the winery throughout the July 1st, Canada Day long weekend, and the exhibit will close at 5:00 PM on Monday, July 4th.
