Come witness over 650 handbell musicians performing en mass under the direction of some of the world’s preeminent conductors from Japan, the United States, Canada, Korea, Hong Kong, Australasia, and the United Kingdom.

SOUNDINGS, the 17th International Handbell Symposium, is an intensive, five day, multi-lingual event at which hundreds of handbell musicians will gather together to develop their art by sharing and learning from each other.

During the course of the symposium, delegates will be led in three different languages (English, Japanese and Korean) by conductors representing the 7 member nations of the International Handbell Committee in the rehearsal of repertoire specially selected to highlight the artistic variety and distinct culture of handbell music around the world.

As the culmination of the symposium for both the regular delegates and the young musicians attending as part of the SOUND EFFECTS Youth Track, this concert will offer the extraordinary opportunity for audience members to witness the power and beauty of the largest gathering of handbell musicians Canada has ever seen.

Come join us as we celebrate and share the Music of our Lands and our Lives!
