For this year's juried exhibit, we focus on the monarch butterfly as a locus for global metaphors:  metamorphosis, migration, endangerment, etc. All these are notions embodied in and associated with the monarch butterfly, but which have further relevance and implications for humanity and the world we live in. The gallery invited submissions from artists reflecting on these or other concepts relating to, but not necessarily incorporating, the monarch.

The three jurors reviewed sixty-two pieces exploring the theme for this year. The twenty-two selections include two and three dimensional and installation works: paintings, prints, pastels, drawings, punched paper from books, photos, assemblages and fiber art.

The included artists are: Miguel Barros; Doris Auxier; Derek Tan; Myrna Pfeifer; Edith Krause; Deb DeJong; Suzanne Laird; Diane Norrie; Rosemary Burden; Marguerite MacIntosh; Betty Spackman; Judy Jones; Janice Jones; Wendy Mould; Joel Libin; Dorothy Doherty; Danica Thiesson; Kristin Krimmel; Meghan Carich; Rosemary Wallace; Don Portelance and Jasmine Randhawa.
