Dwellings: From Seabeds to Cityscapes is an exhibition of young people’s art that explores how where we live—and how we inhabit that space—shapes our experiences, our culture, and even who we are. Dwellings invites you to explore the many ways in which students across BC have reflected on their immediate surroundings and examined the concept of dwelling—in both human and natural worlds. Investigate how creatures in different habitats interact with the spaces they inhabit, envision the human body as a dwelling space, imagine habitations for people in the future, and delve into many other creative contemplations on where we dwell.

The ArtStarts Gallery is the first in Canada devoted exclusively to young people's art. Since the gallery opened in 2006, exhibitions have celebrated the exciting artwork that emerges when students, educators and professional artists work together to deepen learning, creativity and community connections.

The ArtStarts Gallery is located at 808 Richards Street (at Robson) in downtown Vancouver. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
