VSB has listed 12 schools for potential closure; 11 on Eastside; 2 high schools - Britannia and Gladstone. Britannia is oldest school (108 years old). GW Neighbourhood Plan describes big population growth. City of Vancouver multimillion dollar upgrade of Britannia Centre Recreation (why close high school). Largest group of aboriginal students in any school (1/3). Why go against Enhancement and Reconciliation agreement signed by City and VSB Trustees. Kids who struggle need smaller classes and supports not big classes in big school. Britannia is the heart of the neighbourhood!
