Since 2011, more than eleven million people have fled the Syrian conflict alone. In recent years those lucky enough to escape have been subjected to one of the most dangerous and traumatic migrations in human history. In autumn 2015 I was able to document may of the hotspots on the European 'refugee trail' and would like to share my photos and footage, as a way of starting a discussion about displacement and migration, and the responsibilities of 21st century states to those whose homes have been taken away, and whose only desire is to live a life free of violence and deprivation. The event will begin with a multi-media presentation on the subject followed by a discussion.
