Join us for our first DJ night of the 2016/2017 season, featuring one of our house DJs and VSS board members, Cam Connor! Cam will be joined by the inimitable Professor Smack (Joel Schwarz), and they will showcase their great swing music collections for your dancing enjoyment.

As always, we will begin the night with a total beginner drop-in swing dance lesson--no partner and no previous dance experience (of any kind) required to join. The Vancouver Swing Society champions the firm belief that anybody can learn to lead and anybody can learn to follow; regardless of age, gender presentation or expression, (dis)ability, ethnicity, economic status, or any other aspect of identity. We ask that for ease of rotation you choose one role (lead or follow) to practice for the duration of the lesson, but as soon as the social dance floor opens you're encouraged to dance whichever role you want, whenever you want!

Hot Club Swing takes place in the dance studio of the gorgeous Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown, Vancouver--just steps from the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line station and other transportation options! There is some underground parking available underneath the Roundhouse, as well as secure bike racks.

*Groups must arrive ALTOGETHER or all attend the lesson in order to qualify for the discounted price.
