WBJJF is proud to announce "The Oscars of Jiu-Jitsu 2016"

It's our pleasure to invite the Jiu-Jitsu Community and welcome the athletes to participate, for the first time outside Brasil, to The Oscars of Jiu-Jitsu 2016 (GI and NO GI).

Our intention is the development of BJJ in Canada and that's why we are doing 3 Tournaments a year in Vancouver, and with rules that make the competition more exciting and award the victory to the better fighter. For this particular event we want a high level competition and we will allow each Team to register their best, the maximum of 2 athletes per category of weight for each belt.

RULES AND WEIGHT DIVISIONS

CASH PRIZES

We also will be awarding some prizes for the kids, and CASH PRIZES for the Adult Champions in the Open Weight (Gi Only) for each belt category, white ($100.00), blue ($200.00), purple (300.00), brown ($400.00) and black ($500.00). Women will have the option of an All Belts, Open Weight category and the Winner will be awarded $300.
We will have Kids, Women's and Men's Divisions in both Gi and No Gi.

The optional Open Weight (Gi Only) matches are free and open to all adults participating in the tournament, regardless of division placement. There will be a whiteboard by the mat coordinator for you to sign up for the optional open weight divisions. We suggest placing your name on there after you compete to see how you feel after your matches.
