Since 1971 the Burnaby Arts Council has presented and sponsored the Deer Lake Craft Festival. The Craft Festival is held at the beautiful Shadbolt Center for the Arts next to Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC, Canada. The success of the event has resulted in 44 annual events where visitors enjoy beautiful BC artisans and their work.

This year we have OVER 55 artisans including: glass blowers, sculptors, potters, wood, fashion and jewelry designers, plus many more new artists participating! There will also be a great selection of seasonal food stuffs such as chocolates, mixed spices, Christmas cakes, cookies, jams, jellies, chutneys and even designer honey. Returning artists such as Violet Finvers’ creative glass work, Jane’s Honey Bees and her fabulous local honey to textile artist Susanna Rezgo with her unique hand painted silk scarves! We are very excited to welcome first time artisans like the Marbled Studio, Home for the Holidays and Magnetic Memos & Memories!

Throughout the weekend, a wonderful variety of performers such as the colourful Gordon Oliver, members of the Burnaby Mountain Sr Secondary choir, violinist Nicole Scoffield, Audinos featuring Chris Blaber & Joel MacKenzie plus MANY more! This is just to name a few that will provide entertainment for all ages over the festival weekend.
