The latest screening from the City of Vancouver Archives features newly digitized film and video focusing on the leisurely side of city life. From a 1928 home-made melodrama to a decidedly ribald mid-century PNE, from the promotional enticements of 1960’s Vancouver Honeymoon to the revelry of Expo 86 and Vancouver’s centennial celebrations, come see what Vancouverites through the decades have gotten up to when they’re not at work.

Local historian and artist Michael Kluckner will provide commentary during the projection. The silent films will be accompanied live by renowned jazz pianist, Wayne Stewart.
