Children here signify the subject matter and the mechanism for exploring questions on identity, philosophy, memory, and social institutions. Six artists from six countries challenge our preconceptions and disrupt any assumed or sentimental narratives. Again and again we are confronted with imaginative beings asking big, existential questions, who long for ideas, who challenge and ignore boundaries, and who communicate (just by being children) the absurdities of some social structures. What links all these works is imagination and the search for knowledge. Opening November 24, 7-9pm
