This introductory workshop will provide an overview of the history of tea tradition in Japan as well as a general description of the practice of Chanoyu commonly known as "tea ceremony" in English. Participants will be served a bowl of matcha tea in the informal usucha style and will be guided through the basics of being a guest at a tea gathering.
