Black Atlass, the creation of visionary singer/songwriter and producer Alex Fleming, brings the artist’s gritty-yet-elegant sound to the Biltmore Cabaret on March 20, offering up his haunting mix of synths, hip-hop-inspired drums and lyrics influenced by R&B. The way Black Atlass melds these forms “sounds like the most natural thing in the world” (VOGUE), perfect on the dance floor. His music is informed by a lifelong relationship with the piano, guitar, drums, bass, and trumpet, and his earliest influences include Lou Reed, Radiohead, and John Lennon. Black Atlass is performing with Ontario DJ/producer OVERWERK whose electro music has gardner top praise from the likes of Beatsmedia and Vibe Magazine. He won the 2014 New Canadian Music Vista Prize.
