The show will be a two week art exhibit in Downtown Vancouver - free to the general public -, featuring Vancouver’s top contemporary artists as well as historical masters' works who inspired them.
A select group of leading artists has been challenged to create works of art that are directly inspired by any of the masterworks in Chali-Rosso's gallery collection. This includes original works by Picasso, Matisse, Dali, Miro, Chagall, Renoir, Motherwell, Hirst, Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
The contemporary art works will be exhibited next to their inspirational works by the Masters.
This exciting project aims to illustrate how relevant the art of the Modern Masters continues to be and how their influence can still be felt in the contemporary art of today.
It is a unique opportunity for the public to learn about world class masterworks through the eyes of contemporary artists.
The exhibition has been endorsed by the MOV, Museum of Vancouver.
