In this electronic construction workshop, Moldover will take you through the steps to build your own Light-Theremin CD case. Even if you’ve never soldered before, this workshop will give you the confidence in two hours. If you do have experience, you’ll learn how to solder better, and walk away with a fun and unique instrument, plus a copy of Moldover’s album.

Bonus! This workshop takes place in the MakerMobile, a Vancouver original. MakerMobile is a unique multifunctional mobile makerspace, laboratory, workshop and classroom, making hands-on learning opportunities for people of all ages and from all walks of life.It empowers people to create with technology rather than simply consume it! Following the workshop, Moldover will give an artist presentation on his Playable Packaging designs, as well as his performance instruments, The Mojo, The Robocaster, and The MC1. This presentation is a separate event, with entrance by donation, taking place in VIVO’s studio, 9pm-10pm.
