Join visionary scientist and author Diana Beresford-Kroeger to learn about he importance of our global forest. Diana will read selections from her books, and discuss her adventures in making of her new international feature film Call of the Forest: The Forgotten Wisdom of Trees.

Diana Beresford-Kroeger is a world recognized author, medical biochemist and botanist who is an expert on the medicinal, environmental, nutritional, and herbicidal properties of trees. She has a unique combination of western scientific knowledge and traditional concepts of the ancient world. Orphaned in Ireland in her youth, Beresford-Kroeger was educated by elders who instructed her in the Brehon knowledge of plants and nature. Told she was the last child of ancient Ireland and to one day bring this knowledge to a troubled future, Beresford-Kroeger has done exactly that.


Diana Beresford-Kroeger is an elected fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, and has been named by the society as one of 25 Women Explorers of Canada. She has also been inducted as a Wings Worldquest fellow, and has been named one of Utne Reader’s World Visionaries.
