In Circulation examines the university as a public site for the deconstruction and reconstruction of knowledge. Post-secondary study fosters the development of new modes for students to be able to see and relate to one another. And as students begin to question their existing modes of thinking and perception, they also discover new modes for interpersonal organization and production. Installed throughout SFU at the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, In Circulation comprises photographic interventions throughout the School for the Contemporary Arts. This spatial arrangement, experienced in whole or in part, presents multiple perspectives that expose the participating artists’ movements through time, the university, and the changing circumstances of their (un)shared experiences.

Curated by Oscar Alfonso and Joni Cheung.

Featuring the work of: asmaa al-issa, Patrick Blenkarn, Jessica Chu, Stephanie Gagne, Phoebe Huang, Danyal Imani, A Yeong Kim, Ruilan King, Siena Locher-Lo, Dustin Patar, Tyler Pengelly, Rui Rui Sun, Kalvin Valko, Sophie Van den Biggelaar.
