Vancouver Police Museum, 240 E. Cordova, Vancouver 31 Cold Cases Solved! The BC Unsolved Homicide Unit was formed in 1996. It was made up of
20 police officers, which included 4 Sergeants.The Unit was composed of 16 RCMP and 4 VPD officers divided into 4 squads each headed by a Sergeant. Brian Honeybourn was the VPD Sergeant in charge of 3 VPD officers and 1 RCMP officer. Money wasn’t a problem, they could travel to follow a lead with no challenges and had all the support they could possibly ask for in terms of human resources.
