Dispatches Without Borders is an original play written for MSF (Doctors Without Borders) by John MacLachlan Gray (Billy Bishop Goes to War). This world première will be presented by MSF Association Vancouver for one night only. Dispatches Without Borders draws on dozens of MSF volunteer blogs to introduce five distinct characters at the front lines of humanitarian fieldwork, who explore the complexities of the work experience from five different points of view.
Inspired by The Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler, the play is an exercise in storytelling, by turns tragic, touching, scary and funny – and all true.
Cast: Stephen E. Miller, Suzie Payne, Rukiya Bernard, Agnes Tong and Josh Drebit.
The performance will be followed by a Q & A with MSF field workers.
