Vancouver Tagore Society presents its third Annual Tagore Spring Festival. It is a multicultural celebration of Spring through dance, music and poetry, inspired by Nobel-laureate Rabindranath Tagore's idea of 'confluence of cultures' and his passion for festive exaltation of different seasons. The event will have artists from different backgrounds performing presentations highlighting their traditions and heritages. This year’s performances include Carnatic vocal music by Lakshmi Menon, accompanied by Sayenden (Mridangam), Anujan (Ghatam) and Sukumaran (moorsing); Poetry by Bernice Lever, Sitar recital by Muhammad Assani, Songs by Pinu Sattar, a special segment on Bengali poet Kazi Nazrul Islam by Arno Kamolika (Dance), Shankhanaad, Avik, Keka (Vocals), Sabuj (Guitar),Tapas (Tabla) and much more...
