Vancouver author and legendary west coast concert promoter
Jerry Kruz will be appearing at the Beatmerchant Record
Store in Steveston Village on Saturday June 3rd from 2-4pm.
Kruz will discuss his book “The Afterthought” which delves
into the psychedelic sixties using historical posters as the
timeline. Kruz’s recollection is a celebration of the artists of
that unique and influential time in the history of music. The
Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Collectors (Chilliwack),
Tom Northcott Trio, Country Joe & the Fish are among the
artists covered in “The Afterthought” which also features folk-inspired and psychedelia-fueled artwork from Bob Masse and Frank Lewis. After the talk there will be a meet and greet and book signing. Copies of “The Afterthought” will be available for purchase at the event. This is the second of our series “Sessions at the Store” which currently runs every month at the Beatmerchant Record Store.
