On Canada Day weekend, visitors can indulge their passion for our country’s incredible coastlines in celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary at Vancouver Aquarium.

Opening on Saturday, July 1, visitors can be among the very first to come nose to snout with Steller sea lions in the Aquarium’s brand new Steller’s Bay exhibit at Canada’s Wild Pacific outdoor gallery. This never-seen-before exhibit with an underwater viewing area spotlights these majestic, mysterious and iconic Canadian creatures.

Immersing themselves in Canada’s underwater world, visitors can also:
• Spend time with rescued sea otters Tanu, Katmai, Mak, Kunik, and Rialto as well as rescued false killer whale Chester while they play in the sun at Canada’s Wild Pacific.
• Take a stroll through the unexpectedly vibrant Treasures of the B.C. Coast gallery and marvel in the great diversity of habitats and the animals that live in them, including hovering rockfish, elusive wolf-eels, colourful seastars, and more.
• Explore the country’s vast and diverse north in Canada’s Arctic gallery and learn the about the dramatic changes that are taking place there.
In sweet tribute, visitors can celebrate Canada’s milestone with a piece of birthday cake on Saturday, July 1 (while it lasts)!

Vancouver Aquarium has extended its hours for even more summer fun and is now open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. For more information, visit www.vanaqua.org.
