The Salmon House offers up locally sourced West Coast cuisine from the heart of the North Shore. This upscale eatery is open for dinner every evening from 5 pm on, and is open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 am-2:30 pm. In a space defined by its wrap-around dining room, view of Burrard Inlet, and authentic-local-artisan décor, chef Mario Fortin has developed a menu that carries quality and authenticity the entire way through.
The dinner menu highlights feature the alder-smoked sablefish (served with herb-roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach, and citrus confit) and the rack of lamb (served with parsnip puree, goat cheese, and sour cherry jus). Brunch options include the sweet French toast (made with crunchy brioche and served with a citrus mascarpone filling, blueberry compote, Chantilly cream, and maple syrup) and the savory shrimp and pancetta sandwich (accented with avocado, watercress, and tomato salsa on grilled ciabatta). The extensive wine list is divided between wines from B.C. and those from around the world, with equal weight given to white and red wines.
The Salmon House has won the Georgia Straight’s Golden Plate Award for Best North Shore Restaurant.
