Lindsay Lohan slammed for saying #metoo accusers look weak

Lindsay Lohan's movie career hasn't exactly lit up Box Office Mojo in recent years.

But the star of Mean Girls still has a knack for attracting headlines for all the wrong reasons.

This time, it's for comments to the U.K.-based Times about the #metoo movement.

While Lohan said she's "very supportive of women", she thinks some of those who've blown the whistle on powerful men are just looking for attention.

"It makes them look weak when they are very strong women," she said.

This isn't the only verbal blunder on this topic. Last year, Lohan said she felt very bad for Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who is on trial in New York for sexual assault.

More than 80 women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct by the former Hollywood kingpin, including Ashley Judd, Mira Sorvino, and Uma Thurman.

Not surprisingly, Lohan is taking a hit on social media.

But hey, it's keeping her name in the news—and isn't that what this is all about, anyway?
