Dr. Ryan McGarry works in L.A. County Hospital’s famous emergency ward, known as C-Booth, and was in a unique position to document this bizarre culture and to observe the odd transformation (due to the construction of a new building nearby) from a chaotic rescue station that somehow clicked to a more streamlined space that lacks soul. McGarry (who will attend the fest) is not an experienced filmmaker, of course, but he was able to capture the ineffable qualities that make humans work together (or not).
