VIFF 2013 review: Wolf Children

(Japan)

    1 of 2 2 of 2

A gentle, darkly magical story that echoes the work of Japan’s famed Studio Ghibli, this anime beauty marks the first time VIFF invites children to the fest (for its matinee screenings). In it, two kids have to hide the fact they turn into wolves when they get excited—and the story becomes a moving metaphor for being different and an outsider.
