The Charlottetown-born actor has portrayed aspiring white rapper J-Roc for 10 seasons on the hit series.

Torrens has also starred on TV series such as Call Me Fitz and Mr. D, and has hosted shows such as Street Cents, Jonovision, and Wipeout Canada.
His departure arrives shortly after another TPB star, Lucy DeCoutere, left the show.
DeCoutere also announced her exit from the series on Twitter.

Her resignation came shortly after her costar Mike Smith, who plays Bubbles on the show, was arrested in L.A. for misdemeanour domestic battery.
Both Smith and the woman identified as a victim in the incident, Georgia Ling, released a statement that they had a heated dispute which was misperceived by others not present in their room, who called police. Smith contends that he did not assault Ling.
In 2014, DeCoutere was the first woman to go public about allegedly being assaulted by former CBC host Jian Ghomeshi.
