      Everything Will Be (British Columbia/Alberta)

This thoughtful, sensitively observed, and artfully edited documentary by local filmmaker Julia Kwan (Eve and the Fire Horse) captures Vancouver’s Chinatown in transition. As trendy new businesses take root and condo developments displace the neighbourhood culture, long-time residents and workers, ranging from an Italian shop owner to a security guard, offer their reflections on a vanishing community and a fading way of life.

      SFU, September 29 (9 p.m.) and October 1 (11 a.m.); International Village, October 3 (10:30 a.m.)
