Then there are the images of the charismatic artist himself, bobbing his head to Nico Muhly’s roaring soundtrack and scratching chaotic images in his sketchbook. Don’t look for much tension or revelation here—the flick barely hints at why, five months later, Millepied departed the legendary institution—but for dance nuts, this is a fast-paced, illuminating look at the creative process of a guy bent on shaking up old-style ballet.
