American Reunion

Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope
Super Size Me’s Morgan Spurlock directs this 2011 documentary, which takes a behind-the-scenes look at Comic-Con held in San Diego. Spurlock follows five Comic-Con attendees and interviews Stan Lee, Frank Miller, Kevin Smith, Matt Groening, Seth Rogen, and Eli Roth among others at the world’s largest comic-book convention.

The Flowers of War
In House of Flying Daggers director Yimou Zhang’s The Flowers of War, Christian Bale plays an American man who poses as a priest in order to seek refuge with a group of prostitutes in a church during the Rape of Nanking. The epic drama also stars Water for Elephants’ Paul Schneider and Chinese actors Ni Ni and Xinyi Zhang.

The Glades: Season 2
Actor Matt Passmore is Jim Longworth, a Chicago homicide detective, who relocates to the Florida Everglades. While the town may seem quiet, people keep turning up dead. This crime drama is A & E’s highest-rated original TV series.

Pina
Pina is a tribute to the choreography of Pina Bausch, a German performer who passed away in 2009. Directed by Land of Plenty’s Wim Wenders, the documentary captures some of Bausch’s most captivating choreography, from Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, to shorter pieces taking place on a busy street corner.
