Top Movies in Canada, Oct. 9-15: Trailer Park Boys knocked down, Cairo Time debuts

After onlytwo weeks at the top, the Trailer Park Boys were knocked  down on the domestic charts by the debut of the Quebec film 5150, Rue des Ormes (5150 Elm's Way).

The French-language  thriller, about a young man who becomes trapped in the home of a psychopath who will only free him if he can beat him at chess, also ranked number seven on the international film charts in Canada for the same week.

Cairo Time by director Ruba Nadda, about a married Canadian magazine editor who falls for the owner of a Cairo coffee shop, debuted at number three on the domestic charts and ranked number 18 on the international film charts in Canada for the October 16 weekend.

Couples Retreat debuted at the number one spot during the week of October 9 to 15.

Meanwhile, this past weekend (October 16), Spike Jonze's  Where the Wild Things Are was number one in North America, but came second in Canada after Law Abiding Citizen.
