A Vancouver International Film Festival red carpet welcomed directors from China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand to the Dragons and Tigers Award for Young Cinema presentation.

The event for the 19th annual award was held at the Empire Granville 7 Cinemas before the screening of the China-France coproduction Mystery on October 4.

All eight filmmakers nominated for the award were in attendance.
