Chains of Love singer Nathalia Pizarro launches Loose Recordings label

The last year and a half has seen ’60s-pop-styled ensemble Chains of Love issue a couple of singles and its full-length debut,  Strange Grey Days, but now singer Nathalia Pizarro is working on the other side of the music biz, having just announced her new label, Loose Recordings. “I’ve been getting a crash course this past year on label stuff—on business, doing A&R, and publicity,” she told the Straight about the imprint, which is an offshoot of Chains’ current label Manimal Vinyl.

Up first for Loose are releases by Florida act Jensen Serf Company and U.K. outfit the Black Tambourines, both of which arrive digitally on Tuesday (January 15) and sometime later on vinyl. While Pizarro didn’t drop specifics on any other upcoming releases, she admitted she’s “going to go on a bit of a signing spree” in 2013.
