Celebrate the early arrival of summer by dancing in the street at the Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver’s big outdoor show this Saturday (June 20), when some of the hottest performers from Quebec will make the 1500 block of West 7th Avenue heave and swell with revellers.

Dylan Perron and his band Élixir de Gumbo blend bluegrass, folk, and blues into a piquant stew. Karim Ouellet, originally from Senegal, creates elegant compositions that fuse pop-rock, electronica, reggae, and soul.

And singer-songwriter Alex Nevsky—whose current album, Himalaya mon amour, is a huge hit back home—carves out irresistible electro-grooves with a pop-rock flavour.
