Tinariwen at the Imperial

Tinariwen is a group of Tuareg artists from the troubled north of Mali who electrified the music of their Saharan heritage to create the “desert blues” and brought them to the world stage.

The Grammy Award–winning band—which headlined last weekend’s WOMAD festival in England—lays down guitar grooves so deep you may fall in and not crawl out the same.

Catch Tinariwen’s global caravan when it halts at the oasis of the Imperial on Tuesday (August 4) before vanishing into the sands.
