Dick Gaughan at St. James Hall

A legend of Scottish music, Dick Gaughan has a voice as craggy as the hills of his homeland and an idiosyncratic guitar style somewhere between folk and flamenco. A major inspiration for the almost-as-iconic likes of Billy Bragg and the Pogues, Gaughan has honed a sharp political edge to his songs over a long career, performing a mix of traditional and contemporary material and his own compositions.

After an absence of several years, Gaughan returns to St. James Hall this Saturday (September 12). Catch him if you can—his like will not be seen again.
