The four-piece from West Palm Beach, Florida, is aptly named: its melody-studded sound flirts with surf pop, but it has enough sharp edges to draw blood. That Surfer Blood’s music works on multiple levels is good news, because if you have the energy you can dance to it, but if you’re still nursing your New Year’s hangover, you can just sit back and enjoy the pretty harmonies while you try to ignore the pounding going on inside your skull.
