My Favourite Thing is a video feature where the Georgia Straight gets interesting folks from around town to list off, among other things, their favourite performers, live gigs, and singers. And, of course, their favourite thing.

Vancouver/Montreal based garage/alt-pop band Twin River is somewhat of a local supergroup: members Courtney Ewan Bromley, Andrew Bishop, Dustin Bromley, Francesco Lyon, and Rebecca Law Gray have previously been in such bands as White Ash Falls, Dada Plan, Capitol 6, Chains of Love, Mode Moderne, Pleasure Cruise and more. We sat down with the band's lead singer, Courtney, to chat about some of her musical favourites, as well as her favourite place in the city.

The band released their debut LP, Should the Light Go Out, via Light Organ Records in February. (Their EP, Rough Gold, was released in 2012). Their next show in Vancouver happens on Wednesday (December 16) at the Lido. Stream Should the Light Go Out here, and find out more about their show here.
