Get in the Van: The Lazys

Get in the Van is a video feature where the Georgia Straight gets an inside look at what life on the road is like for bands as they come through Vancouver. We get a tour of their ride and find out who DJs, who's the smelliest, and if their home-on-wheels is clean and tidy, or a festering cesspool.

Australian rockers The Lazys played at Venue earlier this month, and the Straight was on hand to chat with vocalist Leon Harrison and guitarist Mat Morris about life on their Canada Dream RV. The band started the Canadian leg of their tour in Kingston in mid-November, and after their show at Venue, they made their way back through the prairies to play their last two shows.  I could describe what their RV looked like after a month and change on the road, but I don't want to spoil the video.

Check out The Lazy's latest album, Black Rebel, here, or watch the video for their single "Shake It Like You Mean It"produced by "GGGarth" Richardson at Farm Studios in Vancouver.
