My Favourite Thing: The Mandevilles

    1 of 2 2 of 2

My Favourite Thing is a video feature where the Georgia Straight gets interesting folks to list off, among other things, their favourite performers, live gigs, and singers. And, of course, their favourite thing.

On one of the final dates of their long cross-Canada tour, the Mandevilles' vocalist Serena Pryne and guitarist Nick Lesyk took a break from their soundcheck at the Orpehum to catch up with the Straight. During the impromptu interview, we found out which artists, concerts, things, and places sit at the top of their respective lists.

The Welland, Ontario-based pop-rock outfit's latest LP, Windows and Stones, was released in September 2014, and the band has been working hard on the road since. (This spring, they opened for the likes of Heart and Joan Jett). Produced by none other than Vancouver's own GGGarth Richardson, the 10-track record features the single, "Hangovers", which can be heard in our video with the band. The music video for the track sees the bands crashing the remnants of a raging house party and playing a show in the living room to a house full of hungover, half-asleep 20-somethings.
