Squamish Valley Music Festival returns August 8

What’s that, you say? There’s a music festival taking place in Squamish next weekend (August 8 to 10)? We hadn’t noticed. You see, we’ve been far too busy maintaining our record of doing absolutely nothing every weekend. We’re calling it the Summer of Sloth.

You’d be amazed how hard it is to remain inert while festivals, fireworks, and frivolity ensue all around you. So go ahead, load up your 1986 Honda CR-X and head up to Squamish to enjoy sets by Arcade Fire (pictured), Bruno Mars, Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Foster the People, Nas, the Roots, Lykke Li, Sam Roberts Band, Tokyo Police Club, Chvrches, Danny Brown, Thievery Corporation, Mounties, and more.

Actually, now that it’s all down in black and white like that, it seems a hell of a lot more fun than lying on the couch and binge watching the first season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Got any room left in the CR-X?
