Where the hell has the summer gone?

Don’t know about you, but in spite of the amount of sunshine we’ve been getting, the number of days we’ve spent at the beach is zero. Did we say in spite of the sunshine? We meant because of the sunshine. Who in their right mind wants to be outside when it’s this goddamned hot, when they could be cooling off at home in a bathtub filled to the brim with ice water? Screw Kits Point; we prefer to soak up our sunny-summer vibes in a more suitable environment, like a darkened nightclub.

That’s why we’ll be at Electric Owl on Saturday (August 23) when Beach Day comes to town. The Hollywood, Florida–based duo specializes in a garage-y take on retro pop, name-checking Phil Spector and the Ventures among its influences. Sounds like a great way to pass the time while we eagerly count down the days until the end of summer.
