Bison heavy with child

Bison’s November 8 show at Electric Owl will be the band’s final gig for several months, while singer-guitarist James Farwell goes on paternity leave.

“It’s going to be a man-child,” the singer-guitarist explained to the Straight. Farwell and his partner, Stacey, do have a name picked out, “but that’s under wraps. It won’t be broadcast until the little pecker is out,” he said. Baby boy Bison is due in early December.

The gig will be the best way to acquire Bison’s new EP, One Thousand Needles, its first release since departing from the Metal Blade label, and one that sees the band dropping the “BC” from its name and using its first-ever sample (of an acquaintance leaving a “psychotic soliloquy” on Farwell’s voice mail).
