Keep your eyes peeled during the soon-to-be-released comedy-horror film Horns and you’ll see more than the titular antlers protruding from Daniel Radcliffe’s cranium. You’ll also see local ska-punkers the Brass Action in a scene where the group backs actor Joe Anderson with its jazzy “Devil Down Below”.

Having been approached two-and-a-half years ago to take part in Alexandre Aja’s locally made movie, guitarist-vocalist Ryan Clare is excited to have Brass Action’s music heard outside Vancouver. “We’re not a very big band; we definitely don’t have a huge world-class following—yet,” he told the Straight. Clare added that the group is working on tying a screening to a live performance at a local theatre.
