This gorgeous album of polyphonic harmonizing by Norway’s Trio Mediaeval is not a Christmas release per se, but the repertoire comes from as far north as Iceland, and its title is Latin for “north wind”, so I like to imagine it’s the sort of thing St. Nick would put on when he’s in a contemplative mood.
