      Super Hi-Fi
      Yule Analog, Vol. 1

Always dreamed of spending Christmas in Jamaica, dressed in flip-flops and shorts and honking on a telephone-pole-size spliff with Lee “Scratch” Perry and King Tubby? Simply crank up the thermostat, truck 300 bags of play sand into the living room, and crank up Yule Analog, Vol. 1, which gives “Little Drummer Boy” and “Auld Lang Syne” the Studio One ska and dub treatment. Think instrumentals loaded with straight-from-Kingston trombones and reverb-soaked percussion. And before you traditionalists go writing off Super Hi-Fi as sacrilegious to the season, think about how many pounds of eggnog fat you’ll sweat off skanking around the kitchen to “We Three Kings”. Unless, that is, the bale of ganja you’re bound to consume leads to the kind of munchies that made a blubber mountain out of Kris Kringle.
